I wanted to follow yesterday’s Co-Publisher’s Blog with a more personal update of my own creative work. For fans of my art–fear not, drawing comic books is actually a part of my new job description, and I actually plan on increasing the frequency of which you will be seeing my work. It’s important to me not only on a personal level that I continue with a hand in the actual creation of new comics but also for a broader mission.
- Jim Lee
[Editor's Note: Fear not, WildStorm fans - Jim will continue to grace the WSU, both the characters he created and the rich universe that spun out of there, with his artistic skills for years to come. For those of you who need a fix right now, here are the pencils to his variant cover for DV8 #1 (written by Brian Wood and illustrated by Rebekah Isaacs) coming out this April. You should also check out DCU's The Source and Vertigo's Graphic Content early next week for two more exclusive pieces or art. A lot has been said here about Jim's many myriad talents, and I hate to pound in the obvious - but wow, can he draw. -Austin]

Looks fantastic! I’m hoping we’ll get to see a Jim Lee interlocking cover for Authority/Wildcats
*sigh* Wildstorm characters drawn by Jim Lee. It’s been too long.

Amazing art & amazing news! I’ve been longing to hear this for years.
Welcome back, Jim. We really, really, really missed you.
Classic Jim Lee art. Looks great, hope to see more (hint: WILDCATS)
Love it. I also like how Isaacs’s designs have been incorporated.
[...] The story states that new DC Comics co-publishers Lee and Dan DiDio “traded some of their creative duties for more managerial responsibility.” However, when contacted Friday evening by Robot 6, a DC spokesperson disagreed with the assertion and pointed to a post Lee made earlier in the day on the Wildstorm blog.
